Job Description:

As a composer/producer at Hook, you will help power our core technology that allows us to remix content. As a composer, you will help provide the musical knowledge upon which our music analysis models are based. As a producer, you will provide sound design and compositional guidance for genre and mood based remix interactions we provide to our users. This internship offers a unique opportunity for technical and creative musicians to make an impact in the music technology industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Music Annotation: annotate licensed songs with a variety of music details such as chords, genre, melody.

• Remix Production: design the components that make up a remix on the Hook platform

Qualifications:

• Musical Theory Training: Strong music theory background.

• Composing: Experience composing music across a variety of genres.

• Technical Song Analysis: Ability to analyze a song based on arrangement, rhythm, harmony, and melody.

• Music Annotation: Experience annotating music with chords, drum types preferred.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

• Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Passion for Music Technology: Enthusiasm for music tech and a keen interest in staying updated with the latest industry trends.
